Joshua is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work with an undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University in Criminal Justice. He has worked in several roles throughout his career, one of which was working with the Michigan Prisoner Re-entry Program. He has been practicing with his limited license for the past 2 years working in roles doing adult assessment and stabilization, crisis residential, and outpatient therapy. Joshua is now a licensed master of social work with a development plan to get his Certified Advanced Addiction and Drug Counselor credentialing (CAADC). His passions include fishing, hunting, hiking, and being in the outdoors. Joshua is passionate about doing therapy and has experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, and mindfulness practices. Joshua works with older children and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, as well as substance use concerns.
