James Poulson graduated from Muskegon High School in 1970 and attended Muskegon Community College before being drafted into the Army before eventually serving in the Michigan National Guard. He has been employed as the lone Field Representative in Muskegon County for the US Census Bureau since 1999. Prior to that he worked for Muskegon Public Schools as a paraprofessional in their adult education program up until 2004. He is a big sports fan, especially college football/basketball, and he is an avid traveler. James did not seek this position but responded to a call for patient representation on the board. He believes Muskegon Family Care must succeed and wants to help in any way possible.
