Katey is a licensed practical nurse with clinical and case management experience, who comes to MFC to give back to her community and be an advocate for individuals with substance use disorders. She will be graduating with her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University in December, and has completed many courses on substance use disorders. She chose to become a social worker to specialize in substance use disorders, and help individuals obtain and maintain sobriety. She plans to transition into the role of a therapist after graduation at MFC, and will then obtain her Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor.
