Behavioral Health

Counseling services for mental, emotional, and behavioral issues. Treating adults and children (5 years and older).

At Muskegon Family Care, it is our goal to help improve quality of life by enhancing the mental and emotional well-being of our patients

Counseling Services

Patients will find hope and comfort to face anxiety, depression, and many other mental health concerns. Our master level licensed therapists and counselors meet the unique needs of individuals and their families.

Our therapists and counselors use current, evidence-based interventions in individual and group sessions. We focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, along with many other evidence-based modalities. We treat children, teens and adults in an outpatient setting consisting of individual and/or group therapy.

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Testing (ADHD)

ADHD testing is available to youth age 5 and up and for adults. The testing process involves an initial assessment, screening tools and a final diagnosis. Patients can receive their results in order to discuss if medications would be an option for them.

Admissions

Patients must complete a brief screening over the phone or in person to help determine appropriateness for services. A comprehensive assessment will be completed at the first appointment, which will allow each therapist to provide treatment recommendations. MFC offers in-person sessions along with telehealth services.

Call 231-739-9315 EXT 1669 for an appointment.
