Erma Gordon-Gibson has been a resident of Muskegon for fifty-six years. She was a teacher for fourteen years and had an in-home childcare center. She has had past involvement in several areas: behavior specialist, classroom teacher, Girl Scout Leader, Parent Teacher’s Association President, Neighborhood Association President, numerous church positions at Tabernacle Church of God, Board Member of Every Woman’s Place, Board Member of Muskegon Hackley Public Library, and Board Member of Muskegon Community College Alumni Association. She has been retired for eleven years from her professional career, but she continue to volunteer her time working with people and organizations to solve problems that effects our growth and livelihood. She is an author and publisher of “Whoever You Are Wherever You Are It’s Okay”. She is a single divorced mother of four adult children and six grandchildren. She enjoys visiting family, cooking, house work, genealogy and yard work.
