At Muskegon Family Care, it is our goal to help improve quality of life
by enhancing the mental and emotional well-being of our patients.

Making the decision to seek help for behavioral health and/or substance use needs is a personal and emotional decision. Patients who come to Muskegon Family Care find hope and comfort as they face anxiety, depression, addiction or other mental health concerns. Our professional and dedicated staff are committed to treating and improving the unique needs of individuals and their families.

Our trained professionals use current, evidence-based interventions in individual and group sessions. We focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, along with many other evidence-based modalities.  We treat children, teens and adults in an outpatient setting consisting of individual and group therapy, case management, and recovery coach services.

While not an all-inclusive list, some concerns addressed include: Substance use, co-occurring disorders, skill building, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, school concerns and dealing with the stress and challenges of everyday life.

We offer ADHD testing to individuals age 6 and up.

Muskegon Family Care offers medication-assisted treatment by our integrated medical and behavioral health team, using Suboxone and Sublocade for patients who meet criteria.

Admissions

Everyone will complete a brief screening over the phone or in person to help determine appropriateness for services. A comprehensive assessment will be completed at the first appointment, which will allow each therapist to provide treatment recommendations.

We offer in-person sessions along with telehealth services.

Philosophy

At Muskegon Family Care, we believe that the most effective behavioral health services employ patient-centered and strength-based treatment approaches that are individualized for each patient. To be most beneficial, treatment must be provided in a supportive and safe atmosphere in which patients, family members and professionals all play active roles in the recovery process and all are treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
